216 - Impossible
Feb. 11th, 2008 04:29 pmA Cylon and a human in love? Impossible. Yet that was what had happened between Sharon and Helo on occupied Caprica during her mission to try and get him to love her. She had no idea how deep his feelings had gone; only that he had been very good friends with the Eight known as Sharon "Boomer" Valerii. But love? He had loved her, and stayed away because of her relationship with the Chief? It had been impossible to know that.
Impossible to conceive a child, and yet they had. Impossible that the child would survive childbirth. Impossible that after a year in prison, Sharon would be granted the status of Lt. Junior Grade in the Colonial Fleet – the first Cylon to knowingly be accepted.
Impossible that her daughter would survive the destruction of New Caprica, and that Sharon would in turn be able to recover her from the Cylon Basestar. Impossible that the plan she and her human husband plotted would work, and that neither of them would be sent to the brig. Impossible that Sharon would share visions of the Opera House with Caprica and President Roslin.
All of the impossible feats could be attributed to her non-human nature, most likely, but the one thing she was the most proud of – the one thing that was the most impossible of them all – was not Cylon in the least.
Sharon Agathon had the most normal of marriages and lives aboard Galactica.
