158 - Talk about a memorable (or unexpected) kiss at a holiday party.

We don't really have parties, except for the kind where we've had a small victory over the Cylons. I guess that there might have been some back on New Caprica, but I wasn't there. Other versions of me were there, though, but what could they celebrate? I think that even though the Cylons managed to occupy New Caprica and imprison some of my friends, even they knew it would come to an end. With Gaius Baltar as our President, how could it not?

There were parties back on our home worlds. Small celebrations once you passed basic flight, that sort of thing. As for kisses, though? Nothing. Well, nothing really unexpected, I guess. Chief's affair with Boomer was secretive, but I don't have access to all the memories about the two of them. Which, I guess, just leaves me with my husband.

Our first kiss was planned, though, by Six and the other Cylons. I knew what I was walking into, I'd thought. The thing about that kiss that was unexpected, though, was that I felt something. Cylons are machines. We're not supposed to feel anything like that. Master manipulators, yes. But beings capable of love? Helo surprised the hell out of me when we kissed for the first time, because I knew I was royally frakked. And, well, not in the good way, either.

I knew from that kiss that I was going to love him just as much as he was going to love me. So I suppose, in the end, we managed to manipulate each other, somehow... in the good way, though.
